Top players to compete in World Open

ISLAMABAD, Oct 23: World No. 1 Peter Nicol of England and Scotland’s John White, ranked No 2, are among 74 players who have sent in their entries so far for this December’s World Open Squash Championship in Lahore.

The entry list shows as many as 16 Pakistanis including. Entries deadline for the $175,000 championship is Nov 12.

JUNIOR TRIALS

Faisal Zaman of PAF and Punjab’s Haider Jamal scored victories in the under-19 category of the trials being held for the forthcoming British Junior Squash Championship.

While Faisal beat another PAF player Naveed Nasir 9-3, 9-7, 10-9, Haider edged Adnan Gul of NWFP 9-4, 9-4, 9-3 in the matches at the Pakistan Sports Complex.
