KARACHI, Oct 23: The main, supplying water to Shadman Town, Sector 14-A, has ruptured under a culvert near the Chinniot graveyard, resulting in the provision of sewage-mixed water to the residents of the entire area.

The pipeline, which is located in a depression, without a support, beside a culvert, has burst on occasions and patched up but never replaced.

The area people had repeatedly complained to the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB), but nothing improved owing to the some internal rift between the water board and the city government officials, alleged a number of area residents.

The residents have demanded of the KWSB and the city officials to promptly replace the damaged pipeline to avert out break of any epidemic in the locality.
