NAWABSHAH: A man who was found guilty of killing his daughter last year was sentenced to death by a court here on Tuesday.

Allah Dino Loond was booked for killing his daughter, Ms Shahzadi, on March 30, 2014 in the name of honour.

Second Additional Sessions Judge Jalaluddin Soomro heard arguments by the prosecution and defence sides during the trial and pronounced his judgement on Tuesday.

The judge observed that the charges against the accused stood proved beyond a shadow of a doubt.

The convict was sent to jail.

Good decision..... killing is killing no matter what name we give or call it... Indeed a good start a good beginning....Do not say, 'It is morning,' and dismiss it with a name of yesterday. See it for the first time as a newborn child that has no name.

The first time a person killing for honour is awarded a death sentence in Pakistan. This is a real milestone and needs to repeated in each case. There is no honour and there are to be no respectable persons in the eyes of law, only the cause of justice, where all citizens are equal. Christianity and Islam also adhere to the equality of all its followers and other humans in the eyes of the religious covenants.
