LAHORE: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has asked the Punjab chapter of the party to enthusiastically carry out election campaign in NA-122 despite difficult conditions.

Talking to Punjab President Manzoor Wattoo by phone, Mr Bilawal said the PPP had fielded educated men of impeccable integrity in NA-122 and PP-147 who fully understand the problems of the poor.

Wattoo told him that the workers were determined to resurrect the party of 1970’s in accordance with the vision and thoughts of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto who refused to take dictation from anti-democratic forces for the sake of the masses.

He presided over a meeting here on Wednesday to finalise arrangements for the election rally to be held at Ghari Shahu on Thursday (today).

He said Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah, Aitzaz Ahsan, Qamar Zaman Kaira and Sherry Rehman would address the rally.

Chaudhry Manzoor, Raja Riaz, NA-122 candidate Barrister Aamir Hasan and Iftikhar Shahid were also present in the meeting.
