Punjab name U-16 squad

LAHORE, Oct 21: Punjab on Tuesday announced a 18-member team to participate in the Inter-provincial Under-16 hockey championship for boys to be played at the National Hockey Stadium from Wednesday.

Team:

Goalkeepers: Mohammad Iqbal, Khurram Shahzad (Tobatek Singh).

Full-backs: Waqas Aleem (Lahore), Khurram Shahzad  (D.G  Khan), Muhammad Iqbal (Narowal).

Half-backs:  Rana  Usman (Sargodha),  Mohammad  Shahbaz  (Tobatek Singh),  Farid  Ahmad  (Lahore),  Mohammad  Rashid  (Bahawalpur), Sultan Sikandar (Mianwali).

Forwards: Raja Abdur Rehman (Qasur), Mohammad Rashid  (Sargodha), Mohammad  Imran  Abbas (Sargodha), Shafqat  Rasool,  Shahzad  Ali (Lahore), Javed Iqbal (Jhelum), Rizwan Ali Khan (Rahimyar  Khan), Agha Baqir (Faisalabad).

Manager: Jalil Ahmad Chohan. Coach: Mohammad Nawaz Dogar. Assistant coaches: Shahid Nizami and Khalid Nawaz.
