Rural health centre in poor condition

Published October 22, 2003

NAWABSHAH, Oct 21: The rural health centre, Qazi Ahmed, is in a poor condition due to the apathy of the health department. The issue is all the more serious as it is the only centre covering highway accident cases in the district.

A survey conducted by a team of journalists revealed that having a small room casualty, there were no first aid medicines available to meet any emergencies and the only ambulance of the centre was taken by the EDO, health, Nawabshah, for an anti-polio campaign. The ultrasound machine of the centre has been lying out of order since the last 18 months.—Correspondent
