ISLAMABAD, Dec 24: President Gen Pervez Musharraf has urged the nation on the occasion of Quaid-i-Azam’s 125th birth anniversary to fulfil the Quaid’s vision of Pakistan.

In his message on the birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the president said the Quaid dedicated his life for the creation and well-being of Pakistan.

“Let us take this opportunity to pledge that we would strive to fulfil the Quaid’s vision of Pakistan, the vision of a strong, stable, prosperous, and democratic Pakistan with tolerance and moderation as the principal planks of our social norms,” he said.

The CE said that the Quaid was a great exponent of human liberty and dignity, and abhorred all kinds of prejudices, violence and extremism. He believed in the rule of law and justice for all, without discrimination.

As the nation celebrates yet another birth anniversary of the Quaid, Gen Musharraf said, “The Quaid made it possible for us to have a homeland where we could live in accordance with our cultural and spiritual values.”—APP
