LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has stated that its website is safe and being supervised and monitored by highly qualified IT officials.

The LHC website contains external links of more than 50 legal websites and one of the linked websites hacked in a recent episode was not designed, developed and maintained by the IT section of the court, says a statement issued by the registrar.

It says the website was hacked in Oct 2014 and at that instance IT experts observed that hacking websites operating on windows operating system was easy. On the recommendations of IT experts of Punjab Information Technology Board and LHC, the website was transferred on LINUX-based operating system which is more secured with advanced security features.
