ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Belarus on Tuesday signed a roadmap for bilateral cooperation and decided to establish special economic zones.
The two countries also plan on conducting a study for exploring the possibilities of participating infrastructure projects within the framework of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The agreement was signed by Commerce Minister Khurram Dastagir Khan and Belarusian Minister for Industry Vitaly Vovk.

The countries aim to work together in the areas of textile industry, leather industry, wood-working and furniture industry, manufacturing of sports goods and surgical instruments.
Khan said that his ministry was working to exchange lists of items on which both countries could offer zero-rating.
He added that the commerce ministry will arrange sector specific visits of businessmen to Belarus and vice versa so that trade could be enhanced.
Vovk announced that Belarusian Prime Minister Andrei Kabyakov will visit Islamabad in November this year.
He further said that a trade officer was being appointed in Belarus Embassy to follow up on the decisions agreed in the roadmap.
The two countries agreed to facilitate private parties in conducting joint ventures and establishing assembly and production units of Belarusian tractors in Pakistan.
They also agreed to facilitate private sector in delivery of mining equipment to Pakistan.
