KARACHI, Oct 19: An MPA, Akhter Hussain Bilgrami, inaugurated a 250 KVA pole-mounted power transformer at 12th Street, Khayaban-i-Bokhari, Defence Housing Authority, Phase-VI, on Sunday.

Chief engineer, Karachi Electric Supply Corporation, Shabbir Solangi, and Zonal Manager, Shakeel Ahmed, were also present.

Mr Solangi briefed the MPA about the ongoing development schemes and told him that 11 schemes, to be completed at an estimated cost of Rs4 million, had already been initiated in his constituency to improve power distribution system in the area.

He said the installed PMT, besides resolving the existing problems would also fulfil the future power needs of the area. In this regard, he requested the MPA to hold a detailed meeting and identify the localities in his constituency where system improvement was required.—PPI
