Two suspected RAW agents arrested in Kurram agency

PESHAWAR: Security forces on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two individuals working for Indian intelligence agency RAW from Parachinar in Kurram tribal agency.
The alleged Indian agents were reportedly arrested on September 19, but presented in front of the media today.
The alleged RAW agents were arrested after an intelligence based operation (IBO) was carried out by security agencies.

“During investigation the arrested individuals have confessed to working for the Indian agency RAW,” said Shahidullah, Assistant Political Agent of Kurram agency.
He further added that the arrested individuals were involved in terrorism related activities and sectarian attacks in Kurram agency.
“We also recovered $300 and INR178,000 from them, including uniforms of the armed forces,” stated the assistant political agent of Kurran tribal agency.
Last week, Dawn newspaper reported that two alleged agents of the Indian intelligence agency RAW were arrested at Wagah.
Earlier in August, law enforcement agencies had claimed to have arrested four suspects linked to India's RAW spy agency Lahore.
The military’s top brass in May accused RAW of supporting terrorism in Pakistan. A previous ISPR statement on a meeting of the Corps Commanders held at the General Headquarters said: “The conference also took serious notice of RAW’s involvement in whipping up terrorism in Pakistan.”
While RAW has been blamed by Pakistani authorities in the past, it is unusual for a corps commanders’ conference to directly point fingers at the hostile intelligence outfit.

In private conversations military officers say that besides Balochistan, RAW’s footprints have been found in Fata and Karachi. Confessional statements of some criminals they had arrested recently, they said, point towards RAW’s growing activities. To support their claim they also refer to a statement made by Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval almost a year ago about the Indian strategy to weaken Pakistan by promoting terrorism and separatism.
Earlier this year, however, the government decided to take a tougher approach towards India and forcefully raise its concerns over alleged Indian involvement in acts of terrorism in the country. The change had been forced by Delhi’s continued terrorism allegations for building a narrative that India was a victim of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.

RAW's operations in the "land of the pure" must be crushed with an iron hand by the law enforcing agencies as top priority. This is the same agency which has been hatching all sorts of conspiracies against the Islamic Republic of Pakistan since day one including supporting, aiding and training the so-called "insurgent groups" hailing from former East Pakistan, NWFP, Balochistan, Punjab, Sind, Afghanistan and even from foreign soils.

the confession has no value as evidence. pakistan should collect the strong evidences to prove the involvement of india in terrorist activities in pakistan.is there anyone convicted by court on these allegation. answer is definitely not, we have to do hard work to encounter the terrorism and all kind of crime. statement cannot change the current country situation.

This is a very serious matter - if it is proven they really are RAW agents. What the government needs to do is to expose these activities in front of World community so that action is taken against those who are trying to destabilise Pakistan.
I am sure there is enough goodwill among ordinary Pakistanis and Indians to live as good neighbours. We have had enough of this unnecessary hostility. Let us live and let live.

with such report quite rapidly in build up against India, we can at least try in UN to declare that India be put under ban for nuclear arsenals. as no wonder, if PM of India can do all sorts of tricks to keep large number of people silent in the wake of state controlled killing of 1000 Muslims.
Kashmir be resolved, Indus water treaty be brought in operation as it is when it was signed, RAW needs clipping and controlling its wings, PM of India be replaced and some normal person be placed with, beef / mutton ban be lifted throughout India, caste systems be abolished, minorities must be given right of living as per UN norms and above all but not least India should be made learn and live in peace with all neighbors, as India is only country in this era who had fought wars will all neighbors.

Confession or statement does not mean a thing. They should produce evidence. I am seeing too much rhetoric but not much in substance.

They are probably not Indian nationals. They must be PK paid by RAW. Just paying people money is easier. I suspect RAW will use AFG agents to attack Pakistan. They will also try to fuel Baloch separatists to thwart CPEC. A weak Pakistan is in RAWs interest.

Kurram Agency is the one agency where you have mixed sects - you have Shiia Pashtuns, Sunni Pashtuns and Hazaras (who are Shiia Muslim). In the past it used to be a flashpoint for sectarianism but the people have largely set aside their differences to ensure TTP gains no traction. I commend the FC, Army, tribal elders and intelligence for thwarting such undesirable elements. RAW's operation has failed and once again India has been exposed. Their attempts to destabilize Pakistan will fail over and over.

Cant agree with you. Whether week or strong, a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan is India's interest. There are lot of areas where both the country can work together globally and benefit. Also there are many area where we can supplement each other (which we do even now occasionally) for the benefit of masses. And the same can happen 1. Both the countries bring Statuesque for 25 years on all bilateral difference 2. Pakistan brings its house in order 3. Both the country stops interfering in each others internal matter 4. Business should be given top priority in both the country and last but not the lease 5. Encourage people to people contact more easy.
If we join together no one will be able to match our growth for sure.

Show their picture. Tell what they have done. Send in the details to Indian Govt. ALso send copies to US, UN and others. Run this in media as long as possible. This is how you handle issues like these.
