EC restores two MPAs’ status

ISLAMABAD, Oct 17: The Election Commission on Friday restored positions of two members of the Punjab Assembly, Mrs Lubna Malik, and Malik Jawad Khar, after they submitted their wealth statements.

An announcement issued by the Election Commission said that the CEC rescinded a notification issued on Oct 15, restoring their public representative positions.

The CEC had barred five legislators on Oct 15, for their failure to submit yearly statements detailing their assets and liabilities. Three of the five have so far submitted their statement.—Staff Reporter
