Rashid wins 5th stage

LAHORE, Oct 16: Defending champion Haroon Rashid of Wapda won the fifth stage of the 11th Tour de Pakistan cycle race from Rahimyar Khan to Bahawalpur on Thursday.

Haroon clocked six hours 35 minutes 7 seconds to cover the distance of 210 kilometres.

Dilsher Ali and Zahid Gulfam, also of Wapda, claimed the second and third position. Dilsher took six hours 35 minutes 17 seconds while Zahid clocked six hours 35 minutes 27 seconds to finish the distance.

The race will resume for the Bahawalpur to Multan stage on Friday.
