Protesters block road, railway track

LARKANA, Dec 24: Around 100 villagers protesting over the kidnapping of their two neighbours blocked Larkana-Naudero road near village Metla on Monday.

The protesters raising slogans disturbed the vehicular traffic for around half an hour and demanded the early recovery of the two kidnapped victims, Manthar Bhutto and Juman Bhutto, who were kidnapped about a fortnight ago.

The protesters also forced a Larkana bound train, Shahbaz Express, to stop for half an hour near the village.

Heavy police posse arrived the scene and got cleared the road and railway track.

When contacted, Naudero police confirmed the registration of FIR against some villagers but declined to give the names nominated in it.

SPSF: The central council of Sindh People’s Students Federation (SB) met here on Monday with its president Ali Gohar Chandio in chair.

The meeting expressed concern over the slow paced proceedings of Mir Murtaza Bhutto murder case and posting of the police officials allegedly involved in his killing.

It deplored that Shoaib Suddle had been made the IGP Balochistan, Shahid Hayat, Rai Tahir and Wajid Durrani were being made the SSPs of Hyderabad, Badin and Nawabshah and Zeeshan Kazmi was being tipped as DSP CIA Karachi.

The session demanded the case proceedings should be sped up, the bails of the alleged killers should be cancelled and the witnesses should be provided protection.
