ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at Prime Minister House on Tuesday to discuss matters relating to internal and external security situation.

According to an official statement, they also discussed the peace process in Afghanistan. Sources said that the prime minister and Gen Raheel Sharif also discussed the Rangers-led Karachi operation and recent arrests made in Sindh.The meeting mostly focused on the National Action Plan (NAP), operation Zarb-i-Azb and the final phase of the ongoing offensive in North Waziristan. The process of rehabilitation for the Internally Displaced Persons of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas was also discussed.
