LAHORE: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) teams on Monday sealed many eateries besides imposing fine on others in various parts of the city for flouting cleanliness, hygiene and food handling standards and regulations.

According to a spokesperson, a PFA team in Iqbal Town sealed Malmo Bakers at Chuhng, store, chiller and biscuit section of Ajmair Foods (Cakes and Bakes) on Multan Road and Shaheen Shinwari restaurant in Johar Town.

Gulberg Town team sealed Goodeence Juice at Husain Chowk, Kashmir Dry Fruit and Gosha-i-Farhat Store in Ghalib Market and imposed fine on Ice Land, Mechdoland and Wings Restaurant at MM Alam Road.

Ravi Town team sealed Diff shop in Farooq Ganj, Ghuasia Milk Shop, Fazal Karayana Store, Ittefaq Bakery, and Hajveri Store. These premises were sealed for being unsealed by the owners unlawfully on their own. Cases have also been lodged against the owners along with arrests.

The team sealed Inayatullah Khan Tea Store, Talib Dahi Bhallay and Sher-e-Mecca Masala Chaat at Delhi Gate. It also imposed heavy fine on Qamar Hotel in the same area.

Nishtar Town PFA team sealed Mansha Sweets and Lahori Fresh Juice Corner in Green Town and clamped fine on Al-Raheem Foods (Dawn Bread manufacturing unit) in Kot Lakhpat Industrial area.

Samanabad, Shalimar, Aziz Bhatti and Wahag Towns teams sealed Hafiz Sweets at Multan Road, Al-Akhwan General Store in Swaminagar, Ghausia and Sajid Pan Shops and Iftikhar Murgh Chanay in Tajpura Scheme and Ali Raza Pan Shop and Shahi Qulfa and ice cream at Jallo Mor.

The teams also imposed fine on Yasir Broast (Multan Road), Al-Farooq Bakery (GT Road) and Sufi Sweets in Tajpura Scheme.
