Heavy losses will be inflicted on India if war imposed on Pakistan: Asif

SIALKOT: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Sunday said if India tried to impose war on Pakistan, heavy losses will be inflicted on India, “which she will remember for decades,” reported Radio Pakistan.
Talking to journalists during his visit to Kundunpur village along the working boundary in Sialkot, Asif said cowardly acts by Indian forces had “strengthened our forces’ determination to defend our motherland.”
“The armed forces will defend every inch of their motherland at every cost.”
Kundunpur was among the villages badly affected by the recent firing and shelling from Indian border forces along the working boundary.

The defence minister said India’s “real face had been exposed as it was supporting terrorism in Pakistan and creating tension on borders through unprovoked firing along the working boundary and the Line of Control.”
Asif went on to say that India is diverting attention from its “internal failures” by creating tension on borders.
Condemning the recent ceasefire violations by Indian troops along the LoC, Asif said the “sacrifices of our martyrs will not go waste.”
The minister said Pakistan had proof of India’s interference in Pakistan, adding that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will present the evidence at the upcoming United Nations General Assembly meeting in September.
“The prime minister will also present these proofs to the US leadership during his visit to America in October this year.”
Asif later visited the residences of those killed and injured by Indian firing in Sialkot’s working boundary area.
The minister also announced assistance of Rs500,000 for the families of the deceased, while Rs100,000 each was announced for those injured.

What absolute rubbish. A country hat has managed to get over 100 billion usd in investments since Modi took over, has no interest in fighting with Pakistan, othe than defending it's territory.
What's disappointing is the power the Pakistani army has on political matters. Clearly it was wrong to cancel the recent talks after an agenda had already been agreed by the PM's of both countries.
Pakistanis have to somehow rise up and take back their country from the control of the army. It is unfortunate there is so much internal fighting within the country.
Internationally Pakistan is perceived as a failed state.

For last 60 years who has impose war along PAK/India Border and out come of war. Please I suggest that the defense minister use his energy in development of Pakistan and its infrastructures.. for start get at least clean drinkable water / electricity to its citizens.

My friends from accross the border. Despite pinpricks and aggression accross international border from pakistan for decades( 47-48, gibralter in 65, kargil in 99, mumbai in 2008) India has reached Mars, is 16 times bigger economy than pak, its far more respected and accepted int he world, is contributing immensely in the software, engineering, medicine, and other important international affairs. India is looked upon as a regional super power and one of the next global powers. India and its ministerers have never flaunted nuclear muscles and threats to anyone despite any provocation, Infact we responsiblily states the no first strike doctrine against nuclear countries and no strike doctrine against non-nuclear nations. Just look at the dynamics of pak, extremely fragile economy for a nuclear nation, almost of the size of "mumbai city". Believe me mumbai is projected to be bigger economy than pak in next few years !

@Einstein Babar Mr Babar India knows the outcome of a nuclear war and that is why it never threaten any other country in world or even issued a threat. In fact India declared no first use of nuclear weapons but Pakistan is bragging about its nuclear arsenal or issued a threat to Pakistan. So it is Pakistan needs education regarding nuclear toys and what they can do to the humanity, and if needed they should watch countless documentaries of the nuclear fallout of the nuclear weapons on Heroshima and Nagasaki. Remember those bombs much less lethal than the one we have today.
