KARACHI, Oct 15: The Oil Companies Advisory Committee has increased the prices of petrol by Rs1.30 per litre besides raising prices of HOBC, kerosene oil and light diesel oil by 59 paisa to Rs1.02 per litre. The new prices come into effect from Oct 16.

The Pakistan State Oil and Shell Pakistan have increased the high speed diesel prices by nine paisa per litre to Rs21.09. Its sale price during the fortnight just ended was pegged at Rs21.

The new ex-depot sale price of petrol has been fixed at Rs32.03 per litre, a Rs1.30 rise from Rs30.73 level fixed for the first 15 days of October.

The price of high octane blending component (HOBC) has been raised to Rs35.88 from Rs35.29 per litre, a rise of 1.67 per cent.

Kerosene oil and LDO prices have been enhanced to Rs20.54 and Rs17.34 from Rs19.52 and Rs16.45 per litre, respectively.

The average price of Naphta increased by $23.02 per ton or 10.05 per cent, while the average price of kerosene increased by $2.37 per barrel or 8.31 per cent.
