Academy Whites beat NWFP Blues

PESHAWAR, Oct 15: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Regional Academy Whites defeated NWFP Sports Board Cricket Academy Blues by 42 runs in the first of five-match series on Wednesday.

PCB Regional Academy piled up 280 runs with Tariq (61) Naveed Ahmed Afridi (56) and Muhammad Sheraz Bacha (52) hitting half-centuries.

Leg spinner Dilawar Khan grabbed five wickets.

In reply, Academy Blues were bowled out for 238. Opener Adil Amin hit elegant half century 65 while Akram Ullah Khan (47), Jibran Khan (36), Saifullah (29) were the useful contributors.

Majid Sardar picked up four wickets and Asif Khan chipped in with three wickets. Tariq was named Man-of-the-Match.—APP
