ISLAMABAD: Robbers, burglars and thieves struck in the city and made off with cash, gold and valuables, police said on Thursday.

In the first incident, four armed men entered the house of Tariq Masood in Rawat and held the inmates hostage. They then escaped with gold ornaments weighing 22 tolas.

In another incident, burglars broke into the house of Nazimuddin in CRB Town, Lohi Bher, and made off with cash, gold and valuables worth Rs1 million.

Meanwhile, two motorcycle riders intercepted a woman in I-8/4 sector and snatched her purse which contained cash, mobile phone and documents.

Besides, a vehicle was lifted from Golra Mor area while a motorcycle was stolen from outside a house in G-6/1-1.
