Asif wins 4th stage

LAHORE, Oct 14: Asif of Pakistan Railways won the fourth stage of the Tour de Pakistan Cycle Race from Sukkur to Rahimyar Khan, as the cyclists entered Punjab province from Sindh, according to a message received here.

Asif clocked four hours 54 minutes 53 seconds to cover the distance of 180 kilometres. He had advantage of 10 seconds on the runners-up Zahid Gulfam (Wapda), who timed four hours 55 minutes 3 seconds.

Defending champion Haroon (Wapda) finished third.

The cyclists will take one-day rest at Rahimyar Khan and the race will resume for the next stage of Bahawalpur on Thursday morning.

After an overnight stay the race will proceed to Multan for the next stage.
