It is a custom, an unwritten law. Whenever an aggrieved goes to the police either the FIR is not registered or the culprits are not apprehended. Then if they can muster up support for agitation or the political boss wakes up things start to move. Looks like the police system waits for a nod from some certain quarter to help the wronged. This must change. If the honorable CJP of Pakistan during his short tenure can start this process his followers may continue and ultimately the first hurdle in providing justice to the people may be removed.

Not a big deal, A survey by Dawn a couple of weeks ago showed that over 54% Pakistanis were molested as a child. It is accepted by society just like boys (bachha) in Afghanistan and women rape in India.

We have two sets of values, one for the outside world, and one to satisfy our lust. We have to pretend to be religious, i.e. good Muslims, Ameen, holy, pious, God fearing, are some of the adjectives used quite commonly to describe good human attributes. But in reality and as a matter of fact the status quo is different. Long as our society, remains fundamentally repressed, conservative, long as society cannot discuss freely, long as young people of the opposite sex cannot meet freely and talk freely, in a natural manner, the above type behavior will always be prevalent. We wish to suppress, and think by suppression and instilling fear and punishment, society will improve, no crimes will be committed. No society is perfect, what we have to realize is the very nature of being human. We have to appreciate the value of sex education so that young people can be taught correctly about life, Pakistani's learn about sex in the most unnatural manner. this has to change.
