LAHORE: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Saturday sealed 10 food outlets and eateries and imposed heavy fine on others for poor cleanliness, health and hygiene arrangements.

A Gulberg Town team sealed Shabbir Bakers and Ramzan Bakery in Garhi Shahu due to extremely poor cleanliness, products without labels and manufacturing and expiry dates, no medical certificates of the workers, dirty utensils and non-compliance of the earlier instructions the PFA officials issued to their owners. It imposed heavy fine on the owners of Majid Zahoor Hotel on the Gurumangat Road. It sealed Haji Sweets production unit besides imposing fine on its shop (outlet). The team sealed Karachi Master Paratha Roll outlet.

Data Ganj Bakhsh Town team sealed Liaqat Hotel on Edgerton Road and Al-Meraj Pakwan Centre and Chuhan Bakers on the Sandah Road. The team imposed fine on the owners of Ramzan Bakers in the Rajgarh area.

Ravi Town team sealed Pak Punjab Tikka House at Mochi Gate and imposed fine on Rafique Confectioners, Nazakat, Gogo, Liaqat and Nadeem dry fruit shops in the same area.

Shalimar Town team imposed heavy fine on Tiktik Imli Unit, Cakes and Bakes and Pak-Afghan Spice Traders.

Nishtar Town team sealed Haji Juice in Green Town besides imposing fine on Ghausia Sweets and Red Ribbon food production unit on the Katcha Jail Road.

Wagah Town team imposed fine on Lahore Sweets and Doce Bakers in Daroghawala and Shadipura areas, respectively. Samanabad Town PFA team sealed Fri Chicks on the Nadeem Shaheed Road.

EXHIBITION:

The City District Government of Lahore (CDGL) and National College of Arts organised a paintings exhibition with reference to the Independence Day.

Lahore district coordination officer, National College of Art principal, notables and teachers appreciated the paintings on the Independence Movement. Prizes were also awarded to those who participated and displayed their work.

Meanwhile, various CDGL price control magistrates had 53 shopkeepers arrested besides imposing Rs74,000 fine on several others for overcharging.
