PPP MNA Alizeh Iqbal Haider submits resignation

ISLAMABAD: PPP MNA Alizeh Iqbal Haider submitted on Wednesday her resignation from the National Assembly, citing "personal reasons".
Haider, who is the daughter of the late PPP leader and human rights activist Iqbal Haider, became a Member of National Assembly through the Pakistan Peoples Party quota of reserved seats for women.
Haider also served as the spokesperson for Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Her membership in the National Assembly was twice suspended because of her failure to declare her assets in a timely manner, in 2013 and 2014
However, Haider, who describes herself as a human rights activist, has also spoken out strongly in the past about controversial issues, stating that the Hudood and blasphemy laws should be amended.

It is good decision to leave PPP because it is not, and perhaps never been, a truly democratic party. But I also suspect that people leaving PPP now are just jumping off a sinking boat only to ride another boat that can keep them afloat in politics. People with a clear conscience would have left PPP much earlier when they saw Zardari and his cronies looting and destroying the country in a merciless way.

PPP invested too much on her. Inviting her from abroad, giving her everything what she wanted so as to match her abroad lifestyle and after being acting like another puppet or pageant for past 3 years she finally realizes how smartly she as a person used by PPP elites.
At last! self respect took the course.

If there is one man whose integrity is still intact, it is Faisal Raza Abidi.
If he joins PTI then its vote bank may increase tremendously but this probability is less than 1%

@Qamar PPP and PMLN booth looted the country at their free will. Both these parties must be accounted for in the military courts. I say military courts because the civilian courts to date have sided with the corrupts and thughs.

Good riddance! Apart from declaring not her assets for two years, she constantly remained absent from assembly proceedings. People like her are not needed at all in National Assembly.

She is the daughter of Mr Iqbal Haider who supported BB in 80's when her shadow has also left her.When BB was PM,Iqbal sahab used to head 10 central ministries at a time.BB has so much faith in him.A man of integrity which is difficult to find in current lot.Finally Alizeh's battle line for good and evil has come to an end and Alizeh is the winner.
