ISLAMABAD, Oct 12: Lawyers will stage a long march from Lahore to Rawalpindi on Monday to protest against the Legal Framework Order.

Talking to Dawn, Pakistan Bar Council Secretary Mohammed Arshad said the long march would start from the Lahore High Court Bar Association’s office.

He said lawyers from different cities would join a caravan of buses, coasters and cars at different points, including Ferozwala, Gujranwala, Wazirabad, Gujrat, Kharian, Jehlum, Sohawa and Gujar Khan. The caravan would reach Rawalpindi at about 5pm same day, he added.

The lawyers have also planned to hold a convention at the Supreme Court Bar offices located in the Supreme Court building.

It may be mentioned that lawyers were refused entry into the Supreme Court premises to hold a convention by the administration last time and they were forced to hold their convention on the main road.
