GUJRANWALA: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) and Civil Lines division police arrested a dozen gangsters involved in murder, robbery and other heinous crimes on Friday and seized Rs130,000, 12 pistols, four motorcycles, mobile phones and other snatched goods from their possession.

The Crime Investigation Agency police arrested the inter-district Phool shah gang and among the held gangsters include Phool Badshah, Ahmad Ali, Irshad, Akram and Naveed.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Imran Abbas Chadhar said the gang was wanted by Faisalabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Okara, Kasoor and Gujranwala districts.

Civil Lines police also arrested seven members of Malko and Honey gangs. Civil Lines SP Nadeem Khokhar told a press conference Malkoo, Nazeer, Mohsin, Asif, Umar and Ahmad had confessed to 13 incidences of crimes.

GDA: The enforcement cell of the Gujranwala Development Authority ( GDA) has stopped action against illegal housing societies due to the shortage of machinery.

GDA Director General Maqbool Ahmad Langah had established the cell.
