TOBA TEK SINGH: A goods train on Thursday escaped possible derailment when its driver stopped it just ahead of “one-foot displaced track”.

Witnesses said as Karachi-bound goods train reached Toba from Faisalabad, its driver saw a displaced piece of track between the railway underpass and level crossing. He stopped the train just in time. The driver informed the railway station staff which repaired the track and the train departed for its destination after an hour or so.

Millat Express heading for Malikwal from Karachi had safely gone past the portion of the track before the arrival of goods train.
