THIS scheme started with the distribution of laptops among class VIII and then class X students. After the end of this phase, a line was posted by the HEC on its website saying: “Due to shortage of laptops a merit criterion has been developed for university students to be able to get laptops “.

So, following that criterion only 10pc of students from each department of a university were selected for the final merit list of laptop distribution.

The government should know that a laptop is not necessary for a class X student. It is rather needed by a university student to complete his assignment. So he deserves it more than any other person.
