PWF elections

LAHORE, Dec 23: Riazuddin Sheikh and Muzaffar Ahmad Qureshi have been retained as president and secretary of the Pakistan Weightlifting Federation (PWF) for the next term of four years 2001-2004.

The PWF spokesman Sohail Butt announced the names of the new office-bearers here after the elections were held at Sialkot on Sunday.

The new PWF office-bearers are:

President: Riazuddin Sheikh.

Vice-presidents: Sheikh Mohammad Naeem (Punjab), Hafiz Imran Butt (Wapda), Major Qaiser Mustafa (Army).

Secretary: Muzaffar Ahmad Qureshi.

Associate secretary: Abdul Qadeer (Technical official association).

Treasurer: Chaudhary Mohammad Aslam (coaches association).

Executive  body:  Mrs Rubina Sarfraz Khan (Women  wing),  one representative from Railways, Sindh, NWFP, UGC and Balochistan.

Selection committee: chairman Riazuddin Sheikh. secretary Muzaffar Ahmad Qureshi. Members: Aazam Mian (Punjab), Najam-us- Saeed (Railways), Hafiz Imran Butt (Wapda), Chaudhary Mohammad Aslam.

Technical committee: chairman Riazuddin Sheikh. secretary Muzaffar Ahmad Qureshi.  Members: Akbar Ali (Ghakhar), Abdul Qadeer, Mohammad Ayub (Balochistan), Zahoor Ahmad (Sindh).

Finance committee: chairman Riazuddin Sheikh. Members: Sheikh Mohammad Nasim, Mohammad Akhtar, Nadeem Butt.
