RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force recovered 168 kilograms of narcotics and arrested eight suspects, including two women, in nine crackdowns across the country.

A press release issued by the ANF said it had thwarted several attempts to smuggle drugs and seized 6.5kg heroin, 160kg Charas and 2kg Methamphetamine (Ice).

During the operations, the ANF arrested six male and two female suspected drug traffickers and impounded a vehicle. The value of recovered drugs was Rs.443 million approximately.

The ANF Rawalpindi arrested two suspects, Tauqeer Ahmed and Asif Iqbal and recovered 2kg heroin from their possession.

They were intercepted near Hassanabdal More, GT Road, Attock, while heading towards Rawalpindi for delivery of the drug.

The ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Netherlands-destined parcel at DHL courier office, Islamabad, and recovered 500 gram of heroin concealed in it.

The parcel was booked by Ali Imran, a resident of Islamabad, and was intended to be received at Waxwell Tempting Klaver Street, Rotterdam, Netherlands.

The ANF Lahore Airport team intercepted two passengers identified as Arif Ali and a woman Fatima Kaneez at Allama Iqbal International Airport and recovered 1kg Methamphetamine (Ice) which was concealed in their trolley bag. They intended to board a flight No GF-765 for Saudi Arabia.

ANF Lahore team conducted a raid at a village Kacha Khooh, Khanewal, and recovered 1kg Charas from the possession of a local drug peddler namely Javed Khan, a resident of Khanewal.

The ANF Lahore conducted an operation near Savera Chowk, Multan, and arrested a suspected drug smuggler namely Safia alias Billo, a resident of Multan. During operation, 1.2kg Charas was recovered from her possession.

The ANF Lahore team intercepted a car near Balkasar Motorway Interchange, Ckakwal, and recovered 10kg Charas concealed in cavities of the vehicle. However, the persons on board managed to flee, leaving the vehicle unattended.

The ANF Peshawar airport team intercepted a suspected passenger identified as Ajmal Khan, a resident of Mardan at Peshawar Airport and recovered 1kg Methamphetamine (Ice), concealed in his suitcase. The suspect intended to board for Jeddah by flight No PK-735.

The ANF Balochistan, acting on a tip-off, seized 147kg Charas and 4kg heroin concealed at a desolate site in Turbat.
