GWADAR: Three people were killed and two others injured in incidents of firing in Turbat and Pasni area of Gwadar district on Friday.               

Police said assailants on a motorbike opened fire in Nasirabad area, some 20km off Turbat town  on Friday evening, killing two people and injuring two others.               

“Two persons died on the spot as they received multiple bullet wounds,” police said, adding that the injured were taken to the Turbat hospital.

The deceased were identified as Muhammad Akbar and Abdul Latif and the injured as Abdul Qadeer and Sajjad.               

Turbat Deputy Commissioner Mumtaz Baloch said the cause of the double murder was an old enmity between two groups.

The attackers escaped and no arrest was reported till late into night.

In the coastal town of Pasni, one Malik Masood was shot dead. Masood, who hailed from Faisalabad and worked in Pasni as a mechanic, was going to the market when he came under fire. He died on the spot.               

The attackers fled the scene after the incident. Police termed the incident a case of targeted killing.
