KASUR: The Department of Wildlife and Ecology and Wildlife Society of the University of Veterinary and Animals Sciences, Lahore, in collaboration with Pakistan Wildlife Foundation and Kalabagh Wildlife Foundation organized a three-day workshop on “Animal preservation, stuffing and taxidermy” at Ravi Campus, Pattoki, which concluded on Friday.

Faculty of Fisheries and Wildlife dean Prof Dr Muhammad Ashraf chaired the inaugural and concluding sessions of the workshop and distributed certificates among all the participants and resource persons. Department of Wildlife and Ecology Chairman Dr Waseem Ahmad Khan, Dr Arshad Javaid and Dr Noor Khan were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Muhammad Ashraf highlighted the importance and benefits of training. He said the objective of the training was to train teachers in animal preservation, stuffing and taxidermy techniques.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha also attended a session of the workshop and lauded the organizers for arranging such an informative event.
