KARACHI: Pakistan discard Nasir Jamshed hit a breezy half-century as Omar CC comfortably saw off Karachi Gymkhana Whites by 67 runs in the 30th Karachi Gymkhana Omar Associates Ramazan Cricket Festival at the KG Ground here on Thursday.

After skipper Adnan Kaleem won the toss, Omar CC raked up 171-3 in the allotted 20 overs. The left-handed Nasir and Nauman Anwar began with a rollicking partnership of 99.

The teenaged Nauman, who made his international debut in a T20 fixture against Zimbabwe in May, scored 31 from 36 balls with three boundaries before he was run out in the 11th over.

Nasir, who was later adjudged man-of-the-match, was next out for 51 with the total on 109. His 37-ball innings contained five boundaries and one six.

Fazal Subhan and Saad Nasim then came together in a third-wicket stand worth 48 before the former departed for a 22-ball 25. Saad remained unbeaten with a 26-ball 30, featuring a brace of fours.

Karachi Gymkhana Whites, in reply, were restricted to 104-6. Arsalan Malik compiled an undefeated 29 off 28 balls with one six and one four.

Skipper Sohail Samana, opening the innings, made 22 off 31 balls with two fours while Shams-ur-Rehman faced 19 deliveries to score 22.

Adnan Kaleem bowled intelligently to take three wickets for 21 runs in four overs if left-arm spin.
