PESHAWAR: Moot on Durand Line

PESHAWAR, Oct 8: The Pukhtoonkhwa Qaumi Party is going to organize a two-day conference at Peshawar Press Club from Oct 15 to discuss the Durand Line question.

Chief of PQP and prominent nationalist leader Muhammad Afzal Khan Lala says the Durand Line, drawn by the British in 1893, had a lot of negative effect on the history, culture and economy of the Pukhtoon people.

He holds that the Pukhtoons were divided into four parts as a result of this Line. He deplores the Pukhtoons’ “silence” over this “criminal division.”—PPI
