PESHAWAR, Oct 8: Activists of the Millat-i-Islamia staged two protest demonstrations on Wednesday to condemn the murder of MNA Maulana Azam Tariq and his companions.

The activists assembled at the Scheme Chowk on the Kohat road and on the Phandu road, blocking traffic and setting tyres afire.

MPA Ibrahim Qasimi and the group’s leader, Aslam Farooqi, spoke to the protesters on the Phandu road and the Scheme Chowk, respectively.

They demanded that the killers be arrested at the earliest.
