PESHAWAR, Oct 8: Bodies of a 20-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were found in the Tarnab area in the Charsadda district on Wednesday.

Police officials said unidentified killers had tortured them to death.

The bodies were sent to the mortuary of the Khyber Medical College.

ARRESTED: The police arrested three Afghan robbers and recovered stolen vehicles and other booty, said a press release on Wednesday.

The accused — Hameedullah, Hamid and Javed, residents of Kabul — were the members of a gang that had committed about a dozen burglaries in the city during the last two months, it said.

The police recovered a stolen Suzuki Khyber (Peshawar, N-5413), a motorbike, a television set, four tape-recorders, two CD players, two  rugs, three wristwatches, three kalashnikovs and six pistols from their possession.

The police claimed that five others members of the gang would be netted shortly.
