If Kashmiris themselves had not liberated the portion now aligned with Pakistan, at least fifty thousand more Kashmiris would have been killed and more women raped.

These brave Kashmiris by liberating the areas now called Azad Kashmir have not only saved human lives but have prevented women from getting molested. It is the Azad Kahmiris who by default have been the most forceful implementers of the UN Resolution on Kashmir. It is they who have upheld the writ of the people.

It is certain that if a plebiscite was held in Kashmir in 1947, a majority of Kashmiris would have favoured joining Pakistan. Even so India would have played a game. It would have said that the plebiscite was rigged and the UN staff had been bribed. It moved its forces in Hyderabad Deccan, Junagadh and Manavadar in clear violation of the partition agreement. Our rulers have to remind India that it has to vacate its aggression in Hyderabad, Junagadh and Manavadar.

What is plebiscite? It is an arrangement to determine the will of the people. Today, Kashmiris express their will a thousand times a day by hoisting the flag of Pakistan, by singing its national anthem and by spitting in the faces of the Indians.

Why shouldn’t they spit? Innumerable defenceless women have been molested. Thousands of Kashmiris have been shot dead, according to international agencies. It is divine justice.
