REFERENCE the news story ‘Khan of Kalat being persuaded to return home’ (June 29). The current rumours that there are plans afoot to replace the current Khan, Mir Suleman Dawood Jan by the powers that be are alarming.

I appeal that the Baloch people be given their rights that have been denied to them for the past many decades. The Baloch are also patriotic Pakistanis. I request the Khan of Kalat to return and lead the Baloch to a great future in Pakistan — a future that should have been theirs 70 years ago.
