GWADAR: Five people died and another fell unconscious after inhaling poisonous gases in a well in Nodoz area near Turbat in Kech district on Wednesday.

According to Levies Force, three people climbed into an old well to fetch water but fell conscious after inhaling poisonous gases. Another three people went into the well to rescue the three but they too collapsed.

Five of them were asphyxiated. The sixth one, however, was rescued.

The bodies and the unconscious man were taken to hospital. The deceased were identified as Adam Khan, Juma Khan, Ghulam Sarwar, Nazeer Ahmed and Sa’adullah.
