Zardari leaves for Dubai

KARACHI: Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari left for Dubai on Wednesday, party sources said.

However, they said they were not aware of reasons for his sudden flight and the number of days he planned to stay in the United Arab Emirates.

“Mr Zardari flew to Dubai in the evening from Karachi,” said a PPP source in a brief reply to Dawn’s query. “Bilawal Bhutto Zardari did not accompany him and media reports in this regard are not true. He is here till late Wednesday though his future plan about international travel is not known.”

Mr Zardari’s departure came a day after his elder sister and key leader of the party Faryal Talpur made the same move on Tuesday.

His departure to Dubai makes no difference. People are still dying under extreme hot weather and many still suffering with lack of electricity, clean water and unavailability of medical healthcare. PPP did not do much to solve this problem during five year rule. Current rulers have not been able to solve them either. Hard to find politicians who are capable of solving public problems.

So the threat to expose 'generals' worked and he is allowed a safe passage out of the country. Like the heat-wave in summer, we should brace ourselves for another NRO in the 'next spring of political showdown' either in 2018 or earlier. zardari is a former president of pakistan. you cant simply put his name in ECL without establishing proof. his sister didnt have her name on the ECL yet. if you think tht fighting in karachi for more than a year and then eventually signing accord with zardari is what army needed is untrue. raheel sharif is no musharraf/ayub/zia/yahya. he doesnt need political acceptance

if we have the sincerity, if we have the will to eliminate the corruption, all corrupts will leave and fall like the rain...folks..It's a relief to hear the rain. Karachi is hot, heat wave, no water, electric city, Zardar and sister Fariyal have money, they will enjoy life in Cool aircondition, Karachi death increasing day by day due to Federal water and electrical Minister Asif and Sindh CM Qaim, mismanagement of K.Electric, Thar is also burning these corrupt politicians enjoying life in cool.

Well, it seems that the karachi is best managed by leaders sitting outside pakistan. He is escaping the heat, and the other man is waiting for the 'heat' to cool down. How easy it is for these so called public leaders to leave the country when the province is in dire need of attention.
