SADIQABAD, Oct 6: The government will spend Rs122.4 million on three development projects in Cholistan.

The Cholistan Development Authority has called tenders for the construction of 17 water reservoirs, 69 kilometres long metalled roads and provision of facilities in hospital.

The projects were a plan of government for the uplift of backwards areas, said a CDA official.

POLIO: The three-day second phase of anti-polio vaccination drive will start on Oct 14 in Liaquatpur.

According to a health department official, all arrangements have been finalized to administer anti-polio vaccine to around 141,000 children between six months and five years age.

He said vitamin A drops have also been provided which would be administered along with polio vaccine.

He said 306 teams have been formed to give vaccine to the children.
