ISLAMABAD, Oct 6: MNA Maulana Mohammad Merajuddin criticizing the military operation in South Waziristan Agency has said that the ongoing army action has created unrest among the people of the area.

Talking to reporters after adjournment of the National Assembly session here on Monday, the MNA said the Pakistani soldiers were conducting operations in his constituency similar to those carried out by the Indian troops in held Kashmir.

He claimed that those killed in the operation were earlier given protection by the army personnel themselves. The MNA also claimed that some of the Pakistani soldiers even refused to open fire on the ‘victims’.

Referring to the government’s claim that only two soldiers were killed in the operation, he said the death toll among the Pakistani troops was much higher.
