QUETTA, Oct 5: Balochistan Health Minister Hafiz Hamdullah has said that the province would have a postgraduate medical institute soon.

Speaking at the concluding session of the two-day cardiovascular and thoracic surgery conference, he said the matter would be submitted before in the cabinet meeting for approval.

He said it was the responsibility of the provincial government to provide necessary health facilities to the people and it was making all possible efforts in this connection.

“The cardiology section of the civil hospital would be converted into an institute soon,” he announced and said that all the necessary equipment would be provided there.

He said the specialists and other doctors were reluctant to serve in the remote areas of the province. He said the doctors should change their attitude in this regard.

He said the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal ministers were giving top priority to the health sector and providing funds for projects in the sector. He said there was no ban on doctors’ private practice in the province.
