Jamali leaves for Chicago today

NEW YORK, Oct 5: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali will leave for Chicago on Monday morning to meet Pakistani community living there.

The prime minister will give an interview to CNN soon after his arrival there.

On the same day, the Prime Minister would address the Pakistani-American community, apprising them about measures taken by the government for the country’s development.

The prime minister would also meet representatives of the Pakistani community on Monday evening. On Tuesday morning, Prime Minister Jamali would call on Mayor of Chicago Mr Daley at his office.

Chicago-based Council on Foreign Relations would hold a luncheon, where the prime minister would explain Pakistan’s point of view on international and regional situation, especially in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The prime minister would also highlight the issue of Kashmir and Indian aggression in the region.

Later, the Prime Minister will leave for New York where he would stay overnight before departing for Pakistan on Oct 8.

Before leaving for Pakistan, the Prime Minister will call on Secretary-General of the United Nations Kofi Annan at the United Nations.—APP
