Protests in Sindh over Rohingyas’ killing

HYDERABAD: Activists of Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan-Noorani and civil society organisations held demonstrations after Friday prayers to express solidarity with Rohingya Muslims who were being subjected to inhuman brutalities by Myanmar government.
In Hyderabad, JUP-N leaders said at a demonstration outside Jama Masjid Ghausia that if the United Nations could not stop massacre of innocent Muslims, it should help them carve out a separate state in Myanmar like it did in the creation of East Timor.
They demanded the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) must raise voice in the UNO for their defenseless brethren who had been rendered stateless by Myanmar.
They said the prime minister must record his protest in the UN over the issue and appreciated a hard hitting statement issued by chief of army staff General Raheel Sharif about Kashmir issue.
Activists of Hyderabad City Welfare Organisation also staged a demonstration outside the press club to condemn genocide of innocent Muslims.
SUKKUR: JUP-N Sindh president and member of Islamic Ideology Council Mufti Mohammad Ibrahim Qadri has condemned silence of Muslim world over atrocities against Rohingya Muslims.
He said at a gathering after Friday prayers that Myanmar had been butchering Muslims for many years but its atrocities had largely gone unnoticed and unpunished.
He said the so-called champions of human rights always turned blind and deaf to shedding of Muslims blood anywhere in the world and urged the OIC to raise voice in the UN for the Rohingya Muslims and mount pressure on Myanmar government to accept them as their legitimate citizens.
Activists of Muslim Students Organisation also staged a demonstration outside the press club to express solidarity with Rohingya Muslims.
They said that leaders of Muslim countries were silent while Myanmar was butchering innocent Muslim women, children old and youth, and urged the OIC, UNO and other international organisations to take steps to stop the atrocities.
