RAHIMYAR KHAN: Three children, aged between 2 to 8 years, died of wounds suffered during an attack by five to six dogs in a field situated in the outskirts of Rahimyar Khan's Chak-80, Feroza on Monday.

The three siblings along with their mother had accompanied their father, Irshad, who had reached the site to water the fields.

While Irshad got busy with his chores, his wife and three sons were sitting under a tree when around 5 to 6 dogs attacked them.

The three siblings died on the spot while their mother suffered critical wounds trying to protect her children.

She was shifted to Feroza Rural Health Centre for treatment where she succumbed to her wounds.

Three suspects, who are known to train dogs and organise dog fights in the district, have been taken into custody for questioning at the Tabassum Shaheed District Police Station, .

Meanwhile, police started a search for thedogs in the area.
