MURREE: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) team has caught two persons stealing electricity directly from the main line in Murree.

They were arrested and handed over to Murree Police where a case of electricity theft was registered against them.

Sub Divisional Iesco Officer Khuram Ali held a meeting with SHO Murree and ASP and told them about the campaign launched by his department against the electricity thieves and sought police support in this operation.

It is difficult to check the electricity theft in far-flung areas of Murree where road access is also not available, Iesco sources said.

Owing to the difficult terrains Iesco officials do not visit in those areas for meters reading and send bills without reading for months.
