Annan may visit India

NEW DELHI, Oct 4: UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan is likely to visit India this month en route to a summit of Islamic countries in Malaysia, Indian and UN officials said on Saturday.

An Indian government official said Mr Annan was due to arrive in New Delhi on Oct 12, and hold talks with leaders including Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee on Oct 13 and 14.—APP/AFP
