NOWSHERA, Oct 3: A woman killed her husband’s first wife, Bukhtiara, on the premises of the district and sessions court, here on Friday.
The deceased, Ms Bukhtiara, was arrested on charges of killing her husband, Sher Afsar, and injuring his second wife, Ms Nasiba, on May 27.
Soon after the occurrence the police arrested Nasiba and recovered a 30 bore pistol from her possession. She is stated to be a juvenile offender as she is 17-year-old.
Nasiba told newsmen that she had avenged the murder of her husband and by killing Ms Bukhtiara she had accomplished the “greatest mission” of her life.
She said that she got married to Sher Afsar on March 9. Nasiba added that on the night of May 27, she, her husband and his first wife Bukhtiara were sleeping in a single room when the accused, Ms Bukhtiara, opened the door of the house.
Nasiba alleged that soon after Bukhtiara opened the door and her brother, Muneer Muhammad, entered the room along with a friend and started firing on them.
She said her husband died while she herself received multiple gunshot wounds.
The deceased, who was imprisoned at the Peshawar Central prison, was brought to the court of judicial magistrate, Rozina Rehman.
After her appearance before the court she was taken to the judicial lock-up where the accused, Nasiba, met the deceased.
Later on, when the police were taking the deceased away she took out a pistol and opened fired, killing Bukhtiara on the spot.
