Khawaja Asif slams Indian minister’s statement of ‘sponsoring terrorism to counter terrorism’

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said here on Sunday that his Indian counterpart’s recent statement about sponsoring terrorism to counter terrorism had confirmed “our assertions of Indian involvement in terrorist activities on Pakistani soil”.
He said the statement of Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar was a blatant admission of sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan.
The Indian minister, he said, had categorically stated that rules would not be followed to quell terrorist activities; instead terrorism would be promoted for the purpose.

“This is the worst kind of declaration by a state functionary of cabinet level which confirms that India is sponsoring terrorism against its neighbours in the name of preventing terrorist activities,” the minister said in a statement.
On Saturday, Minister for Information Pervaiz Rashid had said Mr Parrikar’s statement was dangerous for regional peace and exposed Indian designs.
World needs peace, but India is talking of using terrorists.
Mr Rashid said in a statement that India was practising the worst kind of state terrorism in occupied Kashmir. Representatives of human rights organisations were not being allowed to visit the occupied valley, he added.
He said: “World needs peace, progress and prosperity and international powers should play their role in this regard.”

Mr. Parrikar is wrong and should be pressured to step down. As an Indian I feel his remarks are irresponsible. Murdering innocent under the name of justice shall never be acceptable by the majority of Indians.

It is wrong to use fire to fight fire. What is needed is a joint brigade of Afghanistan, India and Pakistan to fight the fire of terrorism engulfing them and refrain from promoting terrorism to fight terrorism anywhere.

But why is the Pakistan administration feeling appalled by the Indian minister's remarks? "Sponsoring terrorism to counter terrorism" is a globally used tactic. Is Pakistan a sponsor of terror? Otherwise, what is all the hype?

Though Indian Defense Minister has not mentioned Pakistan/Kashmir in his interview but I feel he should have been more diplomatic and circumvent in his approach. In fact there was no need to make such comments at all. Everyone knows how the international power politics works. Defense Minister was not writing a book on political manipulations but was highlighting the approach and achievements of his government. Both Minister and NSA Ajit Doval should do their job quietly and show result rather than pamper their political constituencies.

Why is this not being raised at the highest levels by GOP?? Raise it at UN, raise it at the International Criminal Courts, raise it at every international public forum. Why are CNN and BBC not running headlines about this for 48 hours non stop.
That is because GOP does not know how to escalate issues when necessary and/or does not have the international clout to do so.

I feel zarb e azb caused a huge damage to Indian funded terrorists and Pak Army's next aim is to sweep them from Balochistan. What if Pakistan start sponsoring terrorism inside India to counter, what it perceive Indian state sponsored terrorism on Pakistani soil? Going by logic, and looking at the number of fatalities in Pakistan and India since 9/11 in terrorism related incidents, its Pakistan which is clearly at receiving end of terrorism, hence reserve the right to do whatever it takes to deter the Indian sponsored terrorism.

This confession of crime should silence those who were questioning the credibility of Pakistani claim of Indian involvement in the terrorism in Pakistan.
